UC&SC Sportscotland Stage 1 - Pitch Funding Application Successful

UC&SC in conjunction with the hockey club have just received formal confirmation of passing the first stage of its funding application for a synthetic pitch at the club.

Having passed this stage it will now allow us to apply for formal planning permission and also allow us to apply for additional funding from other parties that require you to have Sportscotland support before applying.

The hope is still to have all funding in place during 2013 with us hoping that Sportscotland will contribute 50% of the budgeted cost of £480,000.

Should anyone be willing to support the pitch funding programme with financial or in kind support please feel free to contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Christmas night out

Players and friends went along to the Cricket Club Christmas disco on Saturday  night.   The hockey section had chosen to make this event their christmas night out, and Suzie and her team had worked hard to give the club a fantastic Christmas look.

The ladies team, did a great job organising the buckets of booze raffle, which was drawn at 10.30pm.  Our three winners of the £40, £60 and £100 buckets are very pleased with their early Christmas gifts.

We hope everyone had a great time, dancing the night away.
