This weekend see's all Uddingston Hockey Club teams in action. Saturdays action starts on Saturday with the second XI playing host Dumfermline Carnegie. The Second XI are bolstered by first XI squad members are David Goodfellow and Graham Beveridge as they seek their first win in Regional 2.

The gents 1st XI then play host to Cala Edinburgh in their first home game of the season and will see the competitive debut for Martin McIntosh after is switch from Giffnock and the prolific striker will be looking to get off the mark early.

John Platt's development squad head south to dumfries and will be looking to continue their fine run of form.

Gordon Frasers 4th XI will be facing local rivals Stepps at Dalziel Park while the ladies finish off the day playing host to Strathclyde University.

Weekend Preview

With the regional and National leagues taking a break this weekend the focus turns to John Platts developemnt squad and Gordon Frasers 4th team.

The development squad travel to face Western at Auchenhowie and should face a test for John's squad. Ross McWilliams, Donald Reid and John Platt have been leading the way on the scoring stakes and will be looking to increase their goal tallies while the younger players as have yet failed to get on the score sheet with Nathan Allison and Alan Johnston looking to get off the mark.

Gordon's 4th XI are playing host to Helensburgh with a 12:15pm hit off at Holy Cross. Goals have not been an issue for the 4th XI although the first win of the season has so far been elusive. The experience within the squad combined with the talent of the younger players will make it happen.

Finally on a different note away from the Hockey for this weeks review, the club would like to wish Club Vice Captain, Martin Lorimer the best of luck as he ventures down to Liverpool for his stag doo before getting married to the lovely Ezra. Lets just hope the best man brings all our players back safe. Have a great trip big Neil!!!!!!!!

Best of luck to both teams this weekend.
