Fay Johnston Retires from Coaching

Uddingston Hockey Club would like to thank Fay Johnston for all the time, experience and effort she has put in to coaching the future stars of UHC over the last 7 years. Fay has been a massive hit with the kids and the development of the players has been clear to see. Fay gave her last session this evening and was presented with flowers from the kids to thank her for all her efforts. We wish her all the best and hope to see her turning out for Uddingston ladies this coming season.

UHC Big Dribble

UHC were invited to attend the Muiredge/StJohns Schools Summer Fete on Saturday 16th June 2012.  These local village events are ideal opportunities to promote our Club.

Although the weather was poor we managed to encourage a good number of youngsters to come and try out our "BIG DRIBBLE" course in the school playground, (between rain showers).

We'd like to thank our coaches Alan Hamilton, Ross Paterson, Tom Hyndman  - for giving their time to promote the club at this event,  and our younger players, Hayley Platt, Alan Johnston, Beth Coghlan and Caitlin McCarte for helping the kids around our dribble course, and for handing out our flyers in the School Hall during the rainy spells! (although this may have been a ploy to stay dry).

It has also been confirmed that UHC will continue with their in school
coaching programme in both schools next term with the aim of growing
their combined after school club.
